This living room is a mere 10 feet wide but lives much larger. We used soft colors and airy fabrics to give breathing room. The door on the wall is a salvaged piece from New Orleans and holds a horizon for the birds in flight. The long console is made from reclaimed antique wood and adds storage space for the homeowners entertaining cache.

The living and dining room flow as one. We used the rug to define the living room and kept the dining clean and open for stress free entertaining. Large art is by a local artist Lori Drew. Her soft textures created by laying oil paint and cold wax are the perfect pop of soothing color shared by both rooms.

We used light and open furniture and the almost not there soft flowing linen drapes for a breezy feel that would let all the sunshine in. The chandelier is the star and we call it the jewelry in this room. Chandelier is by Low Country. Table and chairs are new from a local shop.

Oyster shells and rough cut crystals along with the copper accents make this chandelier the perfect finishing touch!

The kitchen is light, bright and simple but roomy. Glass subway tile backsplash for a little sparkle and the slightly richer color and detail in the granite counter top holds it all together.

We used white gloss metal counter stools so the homeowner can pull up a seat when returning home straight from the beach...wet bathing suits and all.

The master bedroom is all about the texture with pompoms being the defining theme. We love the mix of soft and earthy in this room. The art above the bed is another piece by Lori Drew. 

Pops of chartreuse are repeated in the master for easy flow from the living room. The large coral mirror keeps to the coastal feel and adds a little fun to function.

Showing the way to the guest bedroom, the egret and african juju hat in the hall are a feast of fun and texture.

The guest bedroom was designed for a soothing effect. We found the antique headboard (formally a footboard) at Hous of Abood, a local shop in Seacrest. The impact is perfect for a cozy retreat.

We kept the old paint and sealed the deal with multiple coats of a matte finish.

The art is by a local interior designer and artist Roy Calvin Eure, and is the crowning glory of this room. We repeated those beautiful soft puffy clouds with the little tufts of Mongolian lamb fur.

It's all in the details as we like to say. The sea fan sculpture bottle was made by us and the tiny seahorse keeping watch was a gift. We hope whoever stays in this room has many "Happy Times" during their stay.

Iron and rope tiebacks let the sunshine in!

We found this restored antique cabinet again at Hous of Abood in Seacrest. We filled it with the homeowner's coral collection. The bottom section is used as the dresser for a dual purpose piece that's as useful as it is beautiful.

Designed for the way this homeowner lives, a place for everything and everything in its place (see...didn't take Mackerel long to find his leash!). Straw hats are from Pork Pie Hatters, east village in NYC and the vintage shelf is also from an east village shop called The Upper Rust. Bench is a local vintage find we reupholstered. Both bench and pillow top are fabrics from African artisans found again in NYC.

A casual, relaxed, and playful beach house design for the eclectic soul. This living space is a fun mix of the homeowners favorites, new furniture, vintage and flea market finds. Sofa, floor lamp and console are all new from Pizitz home & cottage, a local shop in Seaside.

Chair is a vintage find from eBay and shipped from California, side table is petrified wood hauled all the way from NYC. The rug is from West Elm.

The flag is a vintage 48 star flag we found at the Brooklyn Flea, NYC. Penguin sculptures are the first ever piece of art the homeowner purchased some 35 years ago. The lamp was a gift from a kind friend.

Little table top garden is inexpensive but adds a lot of charm. All plants were purchased at Clay, a local garden and gift shop on 30A in Seagrove. Coffee table is hand painted and found at ABC home in NYC.

Details, Details, Details...We love what plants do to bring life to a room. The coconut palm only needs a little water once a week to stay fresh. The little birds are paper mache and called "Whipple Birds", made by artist Judith Whipple, located in Iowa . Pillows are new from Tracery Interiors. Curtains were handmade by the homeowners sister in a soft open weave linen.

All for the fun of living the beach life. The homeowner didn't want "fussy". We placed the wicker bar cart from Serena and Lily next to the outdoors for easy access inside or out. The lamp is a local flea market find...it's a simple clear glass and we added the sparkle lights inside the base for fun. Paintings are by the homeowner.

Fresh flowers have a therapeutic effect and create beautiful moments no matter the occasion. Experimenting and mixing or just let nature speak for itself, fresh flowers are a great way to add a pop of color.

Keeping it simple. A centerpiece of live succulents bring the outdoors in. Chandelier is a local find and in a formal shape but made casual by the wood frame and wooden beads. Table is a flea market find and chairs are from Restoration Hardware. The table cloth is another gift purchased in Africa from a well traveled friend. The rug is a 80-100 year old persain rug that has been in the family for most of those years.

The great outdoors, casual and eclectic. The table is an Italian design from ABC Home in NYC. The bench is hand carved teak from the 1920's, another vintage find. We hung the lights for a festive feel and to extend the living space in the evening. Chairs are also a flea market find.

All the pillows and throw are from local shops on Scenic Highway 30A. We love the freedom of mixing things up for a laid back vibe.

Outdoor lighting to keep the party going. We think lighting is most important and can set the mood for any space, indoor or out.

When space is at a premium but an office is a must have, we had to get a little creative with our thinking. We found this cabinet that previously held a TV and old time stereo. We turned it into what we call "the office in a box". Out of sight but work is never out of mind.

With a fun splash of color inside, we brought the blue sky and gulf coast in. Maybe working won't be so hard and missing out on the perfect beach day....Well, we hope it's a little less of a drag.
